In a shocking incident in Outer Delhi, a man named Vishnu Sharma was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife, Shweta Sharma, and attempting to dispose of her body in an open drain.

CCTV footage from the industrial area of Rajasthan Udyog Nagar in Jahangirpuri captured the accused carrying his wife’s body on his shoulder toward the drain, allegedly to destroy evidence.

Motive Behind the Crime

Police reports suggest that Vishnu Sharma, 35, suspected his wife of having an extramarital affair. The couple reportedly had frequent arguments, and tensions escalated on the night of November 13, 2025. In a fit of rage and suspicion, Sharma allegedly killed his wife inside their residence before attempting to dispose of her body.

Police Action and Investigation

The victim’s body was recovered from the open drain on November 14, 2025. Following a detailed investigation, authorities arrested Vishnu Sharma on November 17, 2025. CCTV footage played a crucial role in identifying the suspect and tracking his movements.

The accused is a habitual offender with prior cases under the Excise Act and multiple instances of domestic burglary. The Delhi Police confirmed that legal proceedings are underway and additional evidence is being collected.
