CJP Calls for October 10 Protest at Jantar Mantar to Demand Gyanesh Kumar’s Resignation

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has officially notified the Delhi Police about an upcoming protest scheduled for October 10 at Jantar Mantar. Saurav Das, the chief spokesperson for the CJP, stated that the demonstration will involve the youth of India focusing on issues like electoral integrity and the inclusion of younger voters in the electoral process. Das visited the Parliament Street Police Station to submit a formal letter, outlining the party’s plans and the importance of law and order during the event.

While addressing the media, Das highlighted that the gathering would unite young people from across the nation, whom he referred to as ‘cockroaches.’ He expressed the hope that the Delhi Police would facilitate necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth protest. The notification was acknowledged by the police, further solidifying the CJP’s intention to proceed with the event.

In the letter, the CJP requested cooperation from the authorities to manage traffic and maintain public order during the gathering. Das emphasized that they had completed all required formalities to ensure the protest could take place without disruption.

Concerns Highlighted by Youth

According to Das, the primary focus of the protest will be on issues that he claims are affecting the future of India’s youth, particularly concerning electoral misconduct and the perceived inadequacies of the Election Commission of India. He specifically mentioned ongoing grievances about the inclusion of Generation Z in voter lists, suggesting that their voices are being overlooked in the democratic process.

The spokesperson articulated that these concerns about “theft of votes” and “hijacking of elections” are not just party issues but significant civic matters that impact all citizens. He indicated that the upcoming demonstration aims to shed light on these crucial electoral issues and urge reforms.

Das pointed out that young individuals are increasingly aware of the implications these issues have on their futures. He declared that the protest is intended to be broad-based, emphasising participation beyond just CJP members. This makes the protest a national movement of youth rather than merely a party affair.

Mobilisation Efforts and Call to Action

With the date approaching, Das urged young people nationwide to join the demonstration, framing it as a vital opportunity for their voices to be heard regarding significant electoral concerns. He called for active participation, urging that everyone rally under the slogan “Chalo Delhi,” inviting all youth and supporters of the cause to converge in the capital.

Das stressed that this gathering seeks to unite young individuals from diverse backgrounds, portraying it as a collective demand for accountability and reform. He reaffirmed that the demonstration would persist until Gyanesh Kumar steps down, asserting the determination of the youth to bring their concerns to the forefront.

The CJP’s mobilization efforts reflect a growing sentiment among young people in India, where they increasingly feel that their needs and concerns are being sidelined in the political discourse. This proposed protest is a reaction to what they see as an urgent need for change and a more inclusive electoral process. The outcome of the October 10 protest is yet to be seen, but it may mark a significant moment for youth activism in India.
