The CSR Journal Magazine

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has publicly announced the names and profiles of seven members it claims were killed in connection with its recently launched military initiative, “Operation Herof (Phase 2).” This information was made available through the BLA’s media outlet, Hakkal, along with statements from the organization. The deceased individuals were reportedly involved with the Majeed Brigade and other units that are active in the regions of Turbat, Noshki, and Gwadar.

Profiles of the Deceased

One of the deceased is identified as Majid Baloch, known within the organization as Commando Badal. He is the son of Amjad Baloch and hails from Sand Bazaar in Hoshap. The BLA states that he became involved with the group in December 2023 and joined the Majeed Brigade the following year. According to the BLA, Majid was killed on January 29 during an armed confrontation with Pakistani forces as he was on his way to participate in Operation Herof.

Another member named by the BLA is Salim Baloch, referred to as Molum. He is the son of Abdul Sattar and resides in Absar, Turbat. The BLA claimed that Salim had a master’s degree in history from the University of the Punjab and had joined the organization’s “mountain front” in September 2023 following a period of detention. He was reportedly killed on January 29 during clashes with security forces amid ongoing preparations for Operation Herof.

Details on the Jamaldini Brothers

The BLA also identified two brothers, Allah Noor Jamaldini, known as Rokin, and Asif Jamaldini, also referred to as Zubair, both sons of Pir Bakhsh Jamaldini from Qaziabad in Noshki. The organization reported that Allah Noor became involved in the Baloch nationalist movement in March 2023 and subsequently joined the BLA in July 2024. He became part of the Majeed Brigade in August 2024. Asif Jamaldini reportedly joined the movement in October 2024, became affiliated with the BLA in 2025, and later joined its Fateh Squad. Both brothers were stated to have lost their lives during Operation Herof in Noshki.

The BLA further elaborated that Allah Noor participated in an attack on a Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Noshki, while Asif was assigned to a task force responsible for breaching defenses. The organization characterized all the deceased as members of its armed wing who were killed during the operation and subsequent confrontations.

Operation Herof Overview

Operation Herof was previously outlined by the BLA as a coordinated effort targeting various security facilities operated by Pakistani forces across multiple locations in Balochistan, including Noshki, Turbat, and Gwadar. As of now, Pakistani authorities have not released official casualty figures regarding these incidents.
