About the Author’s Background

Anjani Kumar Pandey was born in Pratapgarh and grew up in Prayagraj, known previously as Allahabad. His educational journey has encompassed prestigious institutions such as Allahabad University, NALSAR Hyderabad, and IIM Lucknow. In 2010, he successfully cleared the Union Public Service Commission examination, leading him to a decade-long stint in the Indian Revenue Service under the Government of India.

Pandey later transitioned from a government role to the corporate sector, where he currently holds a C-Suite position at a prominent organisation. Despite his professional commitments, he has maintained a dedication to literature and has contributed to various newspapers, magazines, and online platforms, cultivating a readership drawn to his writings.

Recognised for his bestselling book Allahabad Blues, his current publication, Awadh: Soil, Memory, People, is regarded as a continuation of his exploration of cultural identity and memory.
