In Patna, Bihar, the decision of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to file his nomination for the Rajya Sabha election has led to an unexpected reaction from the supporters of the Janata Dal (United) party. Many JD(U) workers gathered outside the Chief Minister’s residence, expressing disbelief over Kumar’s move to step down from his position as Chief Minister.

Some supporters suggested that the announcement could be a result of external manipulation, with one expressing the sentiment, “It is possible that his account has been hijacked,” while referring to Kumar’s confirmation of the nomination on social media.

Calls for Change and Concern Among Party Members

Several demonstrators voiced their determination to protest further if Kumar does not reverse his decision. “Nitish Kumar cannot insult the public’s mandate. There is a huge pressure on him as part of a major conspiracy,” one supporter asserted, highlighting the intense feelings surrounding the Chief Minister’s announcement. Another party member conveyed distress at the news, imploring Kumar to remain in his position.

“This is heartbreaking. Nitish Kumar has been serving the people of Bihar from the student movement to this day. The people of Bihar consider him their family. No one else besides Nitish Kumar can be the Chief Minister here,” the supporter expressed, displaying deep loyalty to Kumar’s leadership.
