Over 400 Youths Get Job Opportunities at Rojgar Mela 2026 in Shahganj

The CSR Journal Magazine

On September 27, a rural job fair named “Rojgar Mela 2026” was conducted in Pilkichha village, located in the Shahganj area of Jaunpur district, Uttar Pradesh. The event successfully provided employment opportunities to more than 400 young individuals, facilitating direct interaction between rural job seekers and reputable companies.

Hosted at City International School, the employment fair attracted a considerable number of attendees from surrounding villages and towns. The primary aim of the event was to eliminate the need for students and youths to travel to urban centres for job placements, thereby promoting local employment.

Participating companies included well-known names such as MRF, Hindalco, Ashok Leyland, Subros, and Schneider Electric. These organisations played a crucial role in the selection process, evaluating candidates based on their educational qualifications, technical skills, and prior experience in various fields.

Local Initiative for Employment Generation

The initiative for the job fair was spearheaded by Sanjeev Yadav, a former IRS officer and resident of the region. Having opted for voluntary retirement around three years before his scheduled completion of service, Yadav’s focus shifted towards social and employment initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of people in his local community.

Yadav stated that the effort is designed to foster not only employment opportunities but also broader socio-economic initiatives tailored to the needs of young people, women, farmers, and business owners. He emphasised the abundance of talent and potential in rural areas, highlighting the necessity for accessible platforms for development and growth.

During the event, Yadav expressed gratitude towards various stakeholders, including school manager Rajiv Yadav and local administration, who aided in the arrangement of the employment fair. He noted the importance of collective effort in creating opportunities for local youth and pledged to extend such initiatives in the future.

Future Plans for Continued Employment Fairs

Conscious Influence Communication (CIC) assisted in the orchestration of the event, providing essential planning, coordination, and support. The successful turnout and positive response from participants indicated the potential for replicating this model in similar rural and semi-urban areas across the region.

The organisers plan to hold additional employment fairs aimed at increasing local access to job opportunities in various sectors. Such initiatives are envisioned to empower more young people by creating networking avenues that align with their skills and aspirations.

The participation of over 400 youths underscored the growing need for local employment solutions, as many candidates received selection letters on-site. This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure that rural areas can benefit from job opportunities without the necessity of relocating to metropolitan locations.
