ZoeNCure Therapeutics Secures INR 20 Crore Seed Investment to Accelerate Next-Generation Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC) Program

The CSR Journal Magazine

ZoeNCure Therapeutics Pvt. Ltd., an oncology biotechnology firm dedicated to the development of targeted cancer therapies, has successfully concluded a Seed funding round amounting to INR 20 Crore. This investment is equivalent to approximately $2.4 million USD and was primarily led by the Tyagi Family, a group of high-net-worth individuals from Gurugram, India, including Mr. Shyambir Tyagi and Manoj Tyagi, along with several participating angel co-investors.

This represents the second phase of financial support from the Tyagi Family, who previously made a pre-seed investment of INR 2.5 Crore to initiate ZoeNCure’s operations. With this current funding, the total capital raised by the company now stands at INR 22.5 Crore, which highlights significant confidence among investors regarding the company’s pipeline, its strategic licensing approach, and its execution capabilities.

The funds from this Seed round will be allocated to advance ZoeNCure’s leading ADC candidate towards first-in-human Phase 1 clinical trials. These trials will primarily target severe liver and gastrointestinal cancers, with a particular focus on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The financing will assist in achieving critical development milestones including preclinical studies, CMC scale-up, and regulatory submissions to the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) in India.

Leadership Comments and Commitments

“We sincerely appreciate the trust and ongoing financial support from the Tyagi Family and all our investment partners,” expressed the Leadership Team at ZoeNCure Therapeutics. They further added that acquiring this follow-on capital at a pivotal moment enables them to vigorously pursue their preclinical and translational strategies. Such endorsement from investors catalyses their determination to provide next-generation, dual-payload precision oncology therapies to patients affected by hard-to-treat solid tumours in India and other emerging markets.

Mr. Manoj Tyagi, representing the Tyagi Family, highlighted the impressive execution speed and scientific rigor demonstrated by ZoeNCure since their initial pre-seed investment. He stated that their continued involvement in this Seed round reflects a strong confidence in ZoeNCure’s leadership and its unique dual-payload ADC platform.

Furthermore, he expressed pride in reinforcing their commitment to ZoeNCure as the company prepares to transition its innovative cancer treatments from research stages to clinical evaluations.

Innovation and Future Prospects

ZoeNCure continues to build on its recent technology agreements, positioning itself as a frontrunner in the ADC domain. The company is innovatively combining advanced antibody targeting mechanisms with dual-mechanism cytotoxic payloads aimed at overcoming treatment resistance and enhancing patient outcomes.

The ongoing development of their ADC platform signifies a significant step forward for the company as it strives to make substantial contributions to oncology treatment. With robust backing and a dedicated focus on clinical advancement, ZoeNCure Therapeutics aims to play a vital role in transforming cancer therapies.

The investment landscape for biotech firms like ZoeNCure is becoming increasingly competitive, and this latest funding round not only bolsters their financial resources but also underscores the growing interest in advanced cancer treatment modalities within the sector.
