Woman’s Body Found Stuffed in Suitcase Near Gurugram School, Probe underway

A very disturbing case has come to light from Haryana’s Gurugram city. A body of an unidentified woman was found stuffed inside a black trolley suitcase. The suitcase was found on the Gurugram-Faridabad Road near Shiv Nadar School.

The information was confirmed by the Gurugram Police  on Sunday. The discovery was made after a passerby noticed flies hovering around the suitcase. Following suspicion he immediately informed the authorities about the unclaimed bag.

The Spokesperson of the Gurugram Police said, “It was recovered after a passerby spotted a black suitcase with a swarm of flies hovering around it, causing suspicion, and alerted cops. The police team reached the spot and got the crime scene inspected by the scene-of-crime, fingerprint, and dog squad teams of the police”.

Victim Had Head Injuries, Several Tattoos

Upon receiving the information the police swiftly reached on the scene. Following investigation a decomposed body was discovered inside the suitcase. According to police, the victim is believed to be between 30 and 35 years old. Initial findings suggests that the body bore deep head injuries, suggesting a violent death.

According to police the victim was found wearing a top and jeans and had several identifying tattoos. The most visible one was  the number “8” on her left thumb and the word “Maa” in black and red ink just below her left shoulder. The body had a bangle on her right hand, a bracelet on the left, and a tattooed picture on her right wrist were also noted by the police.

“The deceased is wearing a green top and green jeans and wearing a bangle in her right hand. A picture is tattooed on the wrist of her right hand and she has a bracelet in her left hand. Number 8 is tattooed on the thumb of her left hand and a little below the left shoulder ‘Maa’ is tattooed in black and red colour,” said the spokesperson of Gurugram Police.

Police Suspect Body Was Dumped After Murder

Meanwhile the preliminary investigations suggest that the woman may have been murdered elsewhere. Following the murder her body was later dumped at the spot. Following the discovery Sushant Lok Police Station registered a case under sections of murder and destruction of evidence.

Furthermore, forensic, fingerprint, and dog squad teams were called on the scene for examination of the crime scene. The police is also tryinging to scrutinise the CCTV footage from the area for leads.

Reward Offered for Identification

In order to identify the victim, Gurugram Police have announced a ₹25,000 reward for any information leading to the identification of the woman. The officials have reached out to nearby district police stations to cross-reference missing persons’ records.

Meanwhile, the body has been sent for post-mortem and further investigation. The police have also promised confidentiality for any informant for the identification of the body. “We are making every possible effort to identify the deceased and a reward of Rs 25,000 has been announced to anyone who identifies the deceased. The name of the informer will be kept confidential,” the spokesperson said.

Community Shocked by Incident

The gruesome incident has sent shockwaves across the area as the body was discovered near a school. Police are continuously appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the victim for further lead.
