The CSR Journal Magazine

Western Railway has scheduled three pairs of special trains to facilitate students travelling to their examination centres for the RE-NEET examination, which will take place on June 21, 2026. This initiative aims to alleviate travel difficulties for candidates, ensuring they arrive comfortably and on time.

The railway administration indicated that these special services will operate along significant routes in Gujarat and Maharashtra, providing both sleeper and general class coaches for student convenience.

Train No. 09472 is set to leave Maninagar at 8:30 AM on June 20, reaching Bandra Terminus at 6:15 PM on the same day. The return train, Train No. 09471, is scheduled to depart Bandra at 9:15 PM on June 20, arriving back in Maninagar at 6:00 AM on June 21. This service will make stops at multiple stations including Anand, Bharuch, Surat, and Borivali.

The return journey, Train No. 09253, will leave Gandhigram at 8:00 PM on June 21 and arrive back at Bhavnagar at 12:35 AM on June 22, making stops at stations like Sihor, Dhola, and Sarkhej along the way.

Booking and Service Information

Bookings for all three pairs of special trains are set to commence on June 19, 2026. Passengers will be able to book tickets through railway reservation counters as well as via the IRCTC website. Railway officials have stated that these additional services have been planned in anticipation of the expected movement of students and their families ahead of the re-examination.

In summary, the special train services are designed to provide reliable transportation for thousands of RE-NEET aspirants and their families. Given that examination centres are often located far from students’ hometowns, these services are expected to offer an economical and convenient travel option, allowing candidates to concentrate on their examinations without the stress of travel logistics.

Overall, the operations highlight Western Railway’s commitment to supporting students during this crucial period, ensuring that they have access to easy and affordable travel solutions as they prepare for their exams.
