A three-year-old boy reportedly drowned in an artificial pond located at a photo studio on the outskirts of Bengaluru, according to local law enforcement. The incident took place on Saturday in Giddenahalli, falling under the jurisdiction of the Madanayakanahalli police station. Police reported that the child was present at the studio with his mother, who was attending a maternity photo shoot for a friend.

While the mother was engaged in the photo session, the boy was playing nearby. It is alleged that he accidentally slipped into the pond at the studio, leading to the tragic incident. Once the mother noticed her child’s absence after some time, she, along with others around, began a frantic search for the boy.

Probe Underway

Authorities stated that the child was discovered in the pond shortly thereafter. Following the discovery, he was immediately transported to a local hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead on arrival. A formal investigation has been initiated to understand the circumstances surrounding the drowning.

In a statement, police noted that the child’s father is currently out of the country for work and is expected to return to Bengaluru on Monday. The community has expressed deep sorrow over the incident, as it has raised concerns about safety measures at commercial photography locations, particularly those featuring artificial water features.
