An incident of theft reported at the Karnataka secretariat, Vidhana Soudha, has raised serious concerns regarding security protocols within the premises. The incident occurred in the office of Congress Minister Bhairati Suresh, where a handbag containing approximately 300 grams of gold jewelry and Rs 1.5 lakh in cash went missing.

The situation unfolded when a man identified as Naveen entered the minister’s office to carry out official duties. He inadvertently left his handbag behind after completing his work. Upon realising his mistake the following day, he returned to the office to retrieve his belongings, only to discover that the bag was no longer there.
Following the discovery of the theft, Naveen promptly reported the matter to the Vidhana Soudha Police Station. The investigation team reviewed the CCTV footage from the office, which captured a DPAR D-Group employee taking the handbag. This led to the swift identification and subsequent arrest of the suspect involved in the incident.
