Tech Mahindra and CoRover.ai have announced a partnership aimed at promoting the adoption of India-origin artificial intelligence technologies in various sectors, including enterprise, public services, and international markets. This collaboration seeks to leverage indigenous technological advancements, translating them into practical frameworks that address sovereign AI, enterprise AI, agentic systems, and digital public infrastructure.

According to a press release, both organisations aim to assist governments and businesses in implementing systems that comply with operational requirements, contextual understanding, and data sovereignty. CoRover will integrate its BharatGPT platform with Tech Mahindra’s Project Indus and TechM Orion platforms, allowing for the development of frameworks that resonate with local languages and regional practices. The ultimate goal is to pave the way for scaling these technologies into commercial applications and operational workflows worldwide.

Nikhil Malhotra, the Chief AI and Innovation Officer at Tech Mahindra, emphasised India’s growing technical capabilities in AI. Malhotra remarked, “India has demonstrated its ability to create meaningful AI innovation. The next opportunity is to translate that innovation into solutions that can be adopted at scale by enterprises, governments, and institutions.”

He added that the partnership aims to unite local AI platforms with extensive engineering expertise and a global market presence. The shared objective is to facilitate the transition of India-origin AI innovations from the development phase to broader acceptance and utilisation.
