Six People Confirmed Dead as Boat Capsizes in Yamuna Near Mathura

A tragic incident occured, when a boat carrying approximately 25 to 30 pilgrims capsized in the Yamuna River near Keshighat, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. At least six individuals have been reported dead, with many others feared missing in the aftermath of the accident. The vessel overturned close to a pontoon bridge in Vrindavan, leading to widespread panic among those aboard.

According to Singh, “A very unfortunate incident has happened. A boat has capsized. Many people drowned. More than fourteen people have been saved so far. Six people have died. All the rescue work is going on.” His comments reflect the ongoing distress and urgency surrounding the incident.

In addition to search and rescue operations, local authorities are also focused on providing necessary assistance to those affected. Emergency services are on hand to give immediate support to the injured pilgrims.
