A tragic road accident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway led to the death of Vallabh Maheshwari, the managing director of the Shakun Group, on Sunday evening. Maheshwari, a 62-year-old industrialist from Jaipur, lost his life after his luxury BMW reportedly lost control and struck a culvert wall in Alwar district, Rajasthan. The accident took place in the vicinity of channel number 136.8 in the area under the jurisdiction of Reni police station.

Accident Circumstances

Officials indicated that Maheshwari’s vehicle was traveling at a high speed when it suddenly veered off course and collided with the wall of a culvert situated near the expressway’s plantation area. Eyewitnesses reported that the impact was significant, producing a loud explosion-like sound that prompted nearby individuals to rush to the scene. The force of the collision left the front of the vehicle severely damaged.

Casualties and Rescue Operations

Maheshwari sustained critical injuries as a result of the crash, while the driver reportedly incurred only minor injuries. Individuals nearby and rescue personnel worked for an extended period to extricate the trapped occupants from the wreckage. The injured individuals were initially transported to a local hospital in Pinan for immediate care. Due to the severity of Maheshwari’s injuries, he was subsequently referred to a private facility in Alwar, where he was pronounced dead by medical professionals.

Police and Family Response

Following the accident, police arrived at the scene and notified Maheshwari’s family members about the incident. His relatives later arrived in Alwar, where they were able to reclaim his body after the completion of formalities. The expressway patrol team, along with ambulance services, was also present at the location to aid in the rescue and recovery effort.

Reactions to the Incident

The news of Maheshwari’s demise prompted condolences from various political leaders. Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, expressed his sorrow through social media platforms, extending prayers for the strength of the grieving family. Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully, along with other prominent political figures, also shared messages mourning the sudden loss and offering their sympathies to the bereaved family.

Investigation Underway

The police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the precise cause of the accident. Authorities are working to gather additional information surrounding the circumstances leading up to the tragic event.
