Authorities indicated that another First Information Report (FIR) may soon be filed against him for allegedly committing similar crimes against his teenage niece.

Father’s Missing Person Complaint Leads Police to Daughter in Rajkot
The case came to light when the man filed a missing person complaint for his daughter on January 3. The local police initially attempted to locate her but were unsuccessful. Following this, the father approached higher authorities requesting assistance to find her. The Local Crime Branch (LCB) stepped in and successfully traced the young woman to an apartment in Rajkot city on January 28.
“When we probed further, she told us that she had continuously faced sexual assault from her father over a period of several years. She also revealed that he subjected her minor cousin also to a similar ordeal. She had told her cousin’s parents earlier, but they refused to believe her,” an officer told The Indian Express.
Case Registered Under POCSO
Upon being found, the young woman informed the police that she did not wish to return home, stating she had left of her own volition. SP Vijay Singh Gurjar of Rajkot Rural Police said, “To confirm this, we conducted a joint questioning, leading to the revelation that the rape had taken place. We then booked the father for rape under BNS as well as under sections of POCSO Act.”
