‘He is a demon’: Rajasthan Govt Teacher Arrested For Sexually Exploiting 23 Students & Obscene Filming

The CSR Journal Magazine

A 59-year-old government school teacher, Shambhulal Dhakad, posted at Anwalheda village in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh district, has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing minor students and recording obscene videos on his mobile phone. The accused is said to have intimidated the children, threatening to fail them in exams if they disclosed the abuse.

According to the police, the teacher had been targeting students for nearly two years. The shocking crimes came to light when a student refused to attend school and, after being comforted by his parents, revealed the horrific details of the harassment.

“The teacher himself used to do obscene acts with the children and asked the children to do obscene acts with each other to make videos and keep them in his mobile,” said the family of the student.

Students Forced to Perform Obscene Acts

Authorities say Dhakad not only abused children himself but also forced them to engage in obscene acts with one another, which he filmed. These videos were stored on his personal phone. The victims range in age from six to sixteen years, were reportedly subjected to the abuse.

When the information became public, angry villagers gathered outside the school and locked its gates in protest. Tensions ran high until Sub-Divisional Magistrate Manasvi Naresh, Naib Tehsildar Vishnulal Yadav, and Begun Police Station Officer Shivlal Meena arrived to calm the situation.

Police Register Case Under Stringent Laws

Police confirmed that 23 students have so far come forward with complaints. Officers have recorded statements from several of them, and a formal case has been registered under the POCSO Act, the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the Information Technology Act, the Juvenile Justice Act, and sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

“The age group of students range between six and 16 years. The teacher harassed both male and female students. He has been arrested and we have charged him under sections of POCSO Act, SC/ST Act, BNS, IT Act and JJ Act so that he gets rigorous punishment,” police said.

Police also confirmed that the mobile phone in Dhakad’s possession contained videos supporting the allegations. SHO Shivlal Meena stated, “We are ensuring every section of the law is applied so the accused faces the maximum punishment.”

Immediate Suspension and Investigation Ordered

Following the arrest, Chief Block Education Officer Anil Porwal ordered Dhakad’s immediate suspension. A four-member committee has been formed to investigate the matter in detail. Meanwhile, district education officials have assured the community that no student will face academic consequences for speaking out.

Minister Calls for Harshest Punishment

Reacting to the incident, Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar expressed deep anger and dismay. “This man is not a teacher but a demon in disguise. Such individuals have no place in our education system. I have directed officials to ensure a swift and strict investigation,” he said.

A police officer familiar with the case said, “A student requested his parents to not send him to school and insisted on changing his school. When the family members took the child into confidence and asked him the reason, he told them what was happening in the school. Shocked family members then informed village residents about the teacher’s misdeeds.”

Community in Shock as Investigation Continues

Dhakad, a resident of Turkadi village in the Chittorgarh district, is currently in police custody. The local administration has assured parents and villagers that they are treating the matter with the utmost seriousness.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have urged any other affected students or families to come forward. Meanwhile, villagers and parents have demand.
