International Fans Enthusiastic About New Ramayana Trailer Featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash

The CSR Journal Magazine

The newly released international trailer for Ramayana: Rise of a Legend has generated considerable excitement among audiences. This trailer offers a captivating glimpse into Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious adaptation of one of India’s most revered epics. With Ranbir Kapoor portraying Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash taking on the role of Ravana, the film boasts a distinguished cast, impressive visuals, and a musical score by renowned composers A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.

The 2-minute and 36-second trailer showcases a vivid world of deities, demons, duty, and sacrifice, highlighting the impending conflict between Rama and Ravana. The film aims to present the timeless narrative to a contemporary audience while preserving the epic’s fundamental struggle between good and evil.

Opening with a voiceover that describes an era of harmony, the trailer states, “Before history was written… men walked among gods… and the world existed in perfect order.” This peace is soon disrupted by Ravana, whose ascent to power alters the course of history. The narration ominously continues, “But from the darkness rose an evil force… Ravana.”

Visuals and Music Captivate Viewers

The trailer features sweeping landscapes and dramatic moments that aim to enthral viewers. Yash’s portrayal of Ravana is marked by a chilling declaration: “Before me, every head will bow…” As Ravana’s influence expands, the focus shifts to Rama, depicted as the sole figure capable of opposing him. The voiceover asserts, “In this time of peril, humanity had one hope. Not a god, but a man, chosen by destiny: Ram.”

Ranbir Kapoor’s Rama is shown grappling with the weight of his destiny. He expresses determination to confront Ravana, stating, “If this is my fate… I will not hesitate to destroy him. If I don’t stop him… the world will fall.” The trailer concludes with a foreboding message from Ravana, warning, “This is just… the beginning.”

The trailer has garnered positive reactions from viewers on social media platform X, with many praising its visual effects, scale, and musical composition. One user highlighted the score, stating, “That shyama shyama score in the end. Mann, Hans Zimmer you are the GOAT fr.” Another user expressed admiration for Indian cinema, declaring, “Bow down to INDIAN CINEMA.”

Responses to Visual Effects Criticism

The initial trailer had faced some criticism regarding its visual effects, leading to discussions about the film’s CGI and overall aesthetic. The team behind the film has encouraged audiences to reserve judgment until they can experience the complete film in theatres. The newly released international trailer showcases the film as a grand epic.

Ranbir Kapoor addressed the feedback on the visual effects in an interview, stating, “It’s quite funny sometimes because people who don’t know CG is done, they think someone has just some AI and released something. There are countless hours of work where artists are working for years.” He emphasised the meticulous efforts of the team in achieving authentic visual effects.

Director Nitesh Tiwari also discussed the extensive time and effort required for the film’s visual effects, noting that some sequences took two-and-a-half to three years to complete. He acknowledged the challenges of presenting a project of such magnitude to an online audience, stating, “The sad reality is when someone is hellbent on nitpicking, your best effort will be ignored, and your smallest mistake will be amplified.”
