The CSR Journal Magazine

On March 7, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the successful candidates of the 2025 Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination. He commended their hard work, persistence, and dedication, emphasizing that these qualities have led them to this important accomplishment. Through a post on X, he expressed his hopes for their future roles in governmental service, stating, “Congratulations to all those who have successfully cleared the Civil Services Examination, 2025. Their dedication, perseverance, and hard work have led to this significant milestone. Wishing them the very best as they embark on a journey of serving the nation and fulfilling the aspirations of the people.”

Supportive Words for Candidates Who Did Not Clear

In his message, Prime Minister Modi also addressed those candidates who were unsuccessful in their attempts. Acknowledging the emotional toll of such an experience, he reassured them that this setback is merely a part of a broader journey. He stated, “To those who may not have secured the desired outcome in the Civil Services Examination, I understand that such moments can be difficult. However, this is only one step in a larger journey. Many opportunities lie ahead, both in future examinations and in the many avenues through which you can contribute to our nation. My best wishes for the road ahead.”

UPSC Civil Services Examination Results Announced

The Prime Minister’s comments followed the public announcement of the UPSC civil services final results for 2025, which took place earlier that same week. The examination has seen 958 candidates making it onto the merit list, with significant achievements highlighted by notable candidates. Rajeshwari Suve M and Akansh Dhull secured the second and third ranks, respectively, showcasing a range of talent among the successful candidates.

Experiences of the Top Scorer

Among the standout achievers, Anuj Agnihotri claimed the title of All India Rank 1, expressing joy over his accomplishment, which he referred to as a culmination of a “gruelling journey.” In an interview, Agnihotri shared that he attempted the examination for the first time in 2022 during his internship and succeeded in his third attempt. Previously, he served as a DANICS officer and is currently undergoing training for this role.

Challenges and Aspirations of the Top Rank Holder

While detailing his preparation techniques, Agnihotri indicated that he did not keep a strict schedule for his study hours but described the path to UPSC success as demanding. He voiced his ambition to begin his career as a Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), with aspirations for even higher positions in the civil services through continued effort. “I’m feeling good. I gave my first attempt for the UPSC CSE in 2023. I started preparing during my internship in 2022, and it’s 2026 now, so obviously, it’s been a long time. The journey to UPSC requires a lot of effort. It’s a gruelling journey, but the final result is good, so everything feels good…” he stated, reflecting on his experiences.
