The CSR Journal Magazine

Oppo has introduced two new smartphones, the F35 Pro and F35, expanding its F series lineup in India. This launch coincides with the brand’s decade-long presence in the smartphone market. Both models are equipped with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide front camera and a substantial 8,000mAh battery, aiming to enhance user experience significantly.

Specifications and Features

The Oppo F35 Pro 5G boasts a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits. It includes 2,160Hz PWM dimming for improved visual quality. In contrast, the standard Oppo F35 5G features a slightly smaller 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, which supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches brightness levels of 1,400 nits. Both devices incorporate adaptive refresh rate technology for an optimised viewing experience.

Under the hood, the F35 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX processor, which, according to Oppo, offers a 30 per cent increase in multi-core CPU performance alongside a 35 per cent improvement in GPU capabilities compared to its predecessor. Additionally, it includes a SuperCool VC vapor chamber for efficient heat management. The standard F35 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX chipset and features a smaller SuperCool VC vapor chamber for similar cooling efficiency.

The 50-megapixel ultra-wide front camera on both models is one of the standout features. It supports a 100-degree field of view, enabling broader group selfies, and includes autofocus along with an AI Auto Wide-Angle Switch. On the rear side, the F35 Pro is outfitted with a 50-megapixel main camera featuring optical image stabilisation (OIS), complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The F35, on the other hand, has a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera.

Pricing and Availability

The Oppo F35 Pro has a starting price of Rs 45,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 49,999, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB variant costs Rs 54,999. The standard F35 starts at Rs 38,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB model, with the 8GB RAM and 128GB variant retailing at Rs 42,999. Various promotional offers include zero down payment plans and instant cashback for buyers.

Both phones are set to be available from October 11, 2023, via offline stores, the Oppo India E-Store, Flipkart, and Amazon. The F35 Pro comes in three colours: Sunrise Orange, Wave Blue, and Twilight Brown. The F35 will be available in Wave Blue, Titanium Grey, and Mist Pink. Alongside reduced pricing and attractive financing options, consumers will benefit from features such as Rainstorm Touch for enhanced usability in wet conditions and durability ratings of IP69K. This ensures a robust performance in challenging environments.

In addition to their robust hardware, both smartphones will ship with ColorOS 16, include optical fingerprint sensors, and are designed with longevity in mind. The impressive battery is touted to maintain over 80 per cent of its capacity even after 1,800 charge cycles, promoting an extended lifespan of six years, aligning with modern users’ needs for durability and efficiency.
