“Need to Consider his Mental Health”: Gajendra Shekhawat Criticizes Rahul Gandhi Over ‘Sold Out Country’ Comments

The CSR Journal Magazine

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has expressed his disapproval of Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks accusing the government of “selling out the country” and “wiping out farmers.” Shekhawat stated that such comments are damaging and unbecoming, reflecting poorly on India’s standing. He emphasized the need to reassess the appropriateness of Gandhi’s remarks in light of their lack of basis in current realities.

Shekhawat Comments on Gandhi’s Mental Capacity

In a post on the social media platform X, Shekhawat quoted Gandhi’s statements pertaining to the US-India trade deal and articulated his concerns regarding the opposition leader’s capacity for constructive political dialogue. He remarked, “The entire country knows that his mental capacity is not suited for positive politics.” Shekhawat suggested that Gandhi’s continuous disparagement of the government raises questions about his judgment and whether his comments should be overlooked due to perceived immaturity.

Response to Criticism of the Trade Deal

This backlash followed a video Gandhi shared, in which he criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the trade agreement with the United States. He claimed that the current administration has compromised national interests through this deal, suggesting that it has “sold out the country.” Gandhi’s characterization of the trade framework included accusations that it jeopardizes farmers and damages the textile industry.

Gandhi’s Remarks on Shameful Policies

During a video message responding to criticisms from the BJP regarding a protest organized by the Indian Youth Congress, Gandhi articulated his views on what he perceives as shameless actions linked to the current government. He stated, “Modi ji, do you talk about shame? Let me tell you what shame is.” He referenced allegations of scandal involving prominent figures and connected those accusations to what he described as disgraceful political maneuvers orchestrated by Modi and his associates.

Continued Commitment to Opposition from Congress

Rahul Gandhi extended his support to party leaders who participated in the protest, affirming that they will not back down in the face of government actions. He commented on ongoing legal issues involving business entities and called attention to what he considers the government’s troubling financial affiliations. “The lion-hearted warriors of the Congress Party and I will continue to defend the country,” he declared, underscoring a determined stance against governmental policies.
