Naga Chaitanya has approached the Delhi High Court to address online allegations he claims are defamatory, specifically related to his former spouse, actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In his application, filed on May 29, he contended that certain posts portray him as having cheated on Samantha and as a factor in her career’s supposed decline. His appeal seeks to protect his personality rights from misuse of his image and videos.

The legal matter was brought before Justice Jyoti Singh, where Chaitanya’s advocate, Vaibhav Gaggar, articulated the actor’s grievances. He asserted that the online content transcends merely critical commentary, constituting a form of trolling and defamation aimed at Chaitanya. This prompted the court to take action by granting a temporary injunction to restrict the use of the actor’s name and likeness.

Moreover, the court issued notices to various websites disseminating these allegations. Although the specifics of the court’s order were not accessible at the time, Gaggar mentioned that interim directives were anticipated to be issued following the hearing.
