Mumbai is set to witness heavy traffic disruptions on October 2 due to large-scale Dussehra rallies by both factions of the Shiv Sena. While the Thackeray faction will hold its annual rally at Shivaji Park, the Shinde-led faction will conduct a parallel gathering at Azad Maidan. The Mumbai Traffic Police have issued a detailed advisory, urging commuters to plan their travel in advance, avoid key routes, and use public transportation.
Major Political Rallies Expected to Disrupt Traffic
As Mumbai prepares to celebrate Dussehra on October 2, significant traffic disruptions are expected across key parts of the city due to multiple political rallies. The Mumbai Traffic Police have issued a detailed advisory urging commuters to avoid certain routes and use public transport wherever possible.
The Thackeray faction of Shiv Sena will be holding a massive rally at Shivaji Park in Dadar, while the Shinde-led faction will organize a separate event at Azad Maidan. With thousands expected to participate, heavy congestion is anticipated, especially in Dadar and its surrounding areas.
No Parking Zones Across Dadar and Other Areas
Parking will be completely prohibited on several important roads to manage the expected crowd and vehicular congestion. The following roads will be no-parking zones throughout the day:

Use Siddhivinayak Junction → S.K. Bole Road → Agar Bazar → Portuguese Church → Gokhale Road.

Use L.J. Road → Gokhale Road → Steel Man Junction → Gokhale Road.
