A very shocking case of child abuse have come to light from Thane’s Ulhasnagar area. A 45-year-old dance teacher has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a three-year-old child. The disturbing incident occurred during a summer camp held by the teacher in Ulhasnagar.

According to reports, the accused, Jitendra Dulani, had organized the two-day summer camp for childrens. The camp was attended by approximately 20 children from the local and nearby area.

How did the incident come to light?

The police reports suggest that the incident came to light when the child complained of physical discomfort after returning home. The child was experiencing severe pain and discomfort. The parents soon noticed the agony of the child and gently questioned the child.

The minor then disclosed that his dance teacher had taken him into a dark room during a camp break. The child revealed the horrific details of the crime. The child further said that Dulani undressed him, and sexually assaulted him. The victim said that the dance teacher had done dirty things with him.

FIR registered

Following the discovery the parents of the minor were left shocked. They immediately lodged a formal complaint at the nearby police station. Considering the seriousness of the crime the police acted swiftly. Soon the Vithalwadi police conducted a late-night raid at the accused’s residence.

The late night operation was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sachin Gore. The operation was also joined by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Amol Koli, and Senior Police Inspector (PI) Anil Padwal. Dhulani was arrested from his residence by the police late at night.

Police statement

A police officer said, “After returning home from the camp, the minor began experiencing physical discomfort. Upon being gently questioned by the parents, the child disclosed the inappropriate actions of the dance teacher.”

Following the arrest Dulani was produced before an Ulhasnagar court. He was initially remanded to police custody for five days. As of now the police are taking statements from other children who participated in the camp. This is to determine if other children were also sexually abused or assaulted by the teacher.

Meanwhile, the officials have reiterated their commitment to ensuring justice. The police have urged parents to maintain open communication with their children who attended the summer camp.

Another case

In a separate and equally disturbing case reported on the same day. Amit, a 23-year-old Ulhasnagar resident, was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a young boy in a public toilet. The incident occurred after the child had used the public facility. Upon returning home, the victim informed his mother. This led the family to file a formal complaint with the police

In accordance with the applicable provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, authorities have filed a formal complaint.
