Viral Video Sparks Outrage and Laughter
The video quickly spread across platforms, drawing a mix of amusement, criticism, and disbelief. While some users joked about the man’s antics, others condemned it as an act of public nuisance and disrespect toward public property. Many netizens urged railway authorities to take strict action, arguing that such attention-seeking behaviour has gone too far and poses inconvenience to fellow travellers.
Railways Respond Swiftly
The North Central Railway (NCR) immediately took note of the viral clip and launched an investigation. Confirming Shriwas’s identity, officials stated that the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has initiated legal proceedings against him for misconduct and creating a disturbance inside public transport.
In an official statement on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the North Central Railway said: “The identity of the individual who made a video of bathing inside a train at Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi station has been ascertained. He admitted that such an act was done to gain popularity by creating a reel. Legal action is being taken against him by the RPF.”
Warning to Passengers
The railway department strongly condemned the incident and urged passengers not to misuse trains for making videos or performing stunts that inconvenience others. The statement further added that trains are public spaces meant for travel and comfort—not for filming content.
“The identity of the individual who made a video of bathing inside a train at Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi station has been ascertained. It has been admitted by this individual that such an act was done to gain popularity by creating a reel. Legal action is being taken against the aforementioned individual by the RPF. North Central Railway requests all passengers not to engage in any such act that is inappropriate and also inconvenient for other passengers,” a reply by North Central Railway read.
Public Reaction and Concerns
Online users expressed concern over the growing obsession with viral content, saying people are willing to go to absurd lengths for attention. Some demanded heavier fines or stricter penalties to deter such behaviour. One user commented, “Please take immediate and strict action so that no one dares to repeat such behavior.” Another remarked sarcastically, “People will do anything for views, even if it means breaking the law.”
The Railways reiterated its appeal to maintain public decorum inside trains and reminded passengers that safety and discipline come first.
