Major Fire Destroys Shops on Sitapur Highway in Lucknow; No Injuries Reported

A significant fire erupted late Wednesday night in multiple shops located along the Sitapur Highway in the Bakshi Ka Talab area of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred around 11:45 PM, prompting an immediate response from local fire services. Fire Station Officer Prashant Kumar stated that the alert was received shortly before midnight, leading to the quick deployment of fire tenders to the scene.

Response and Control Efforts Intensified

Given the magnitude of the blaze, additional fire units were summoned from surrounding areas to assist in controlling the situation. Officer Kumar mentioned that a secondary vehicle was dispatched from Itaunja, and two more fire tenders were called from Indiranagar and Fire Station Chowk to aid in the firefighting efforts. Efforts to contain the fire involved collaboration among multiple units to prevent further damage.

Extent of Damage Confirmed

Initial assessments revealed that four shops sustained damage as a result of the fire, although there have been no reports of casualties or injuries. Officer Kumar confirmed that the flames have since been fully extinguished, ensuring the safety of the surrounding area. Prompt actions by the fire department helped avert potential loss of life and further property destruction during the incident.

Separate Incident of Fire in Moradabad

In a related event on Tuesday, a fire broke out in a cloth warehouse located in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, reportedly caused by a short circuit. The fire began around 3 PM at Fazil Enterprises under the jurisdiction of Kundarki police station. A total of six fire tenders were mobilized to tackle the situation, with Chief Fire Officer Rajiv Kumar Pandey confirming that firefighting operations were underway and that all personnel were safe. The initial investigation indicated that a short circuit was likely the cause of this fire as well. No casualties have been reported in this incident either, as firefighting efforts continued to ensure the safety of the area.
