A big update has come in the Land for Job case. Lalu family has got a big relief amid Bihar elections. The hearing was scheduled to be held today in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, which has been postponed.

Now this case will be heard on 4th December. Apart from RJD supremo Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, others are accused in the Land for Job case.

What is Land for Job Case?

This matter is from 2004 to 2009, when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister. While filing the charge sheet in this case, the CBI had alleged that while being the Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav gave jobs in exchange for land, that is, the families of the candidates who were given jobs in the Railways, in return gave their land in the name of Lalu family or people associated with it.

According to CBI, during this period, land was taken from many people of Bihar and Jharkhand in the name of providing jobs in Railways. In this case, CBI has charged many people including Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, son Tejashwi Yadav under criminal conspiracy, fraud and Prevention of Corruption Act.

Tejashwi Yadav denies any wrongdoing

It is known that RJD leaders and their supporters have not accepted any kind of irregularity regarding the Land for Job scam. Rather they are continuously calling it a conspiracy. If Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav is to be believed, he has been continuously seen saying that we have not done any wrong, the truth is with us. This case is motivated by political vendetta.

Eyes set on the hearing to be held on December 4

In fact, amidst the Bihar elections, the eyes of other political parties were also fixed on the court’s decision. However, Lalu family has got a big relief and the hearing has been postponed. Now all eyes are on the hearing to be held on December 4.
