The production team of the much-anticipated film Naagzilla has officially completed shooting. The final day of filming took place on March 16, according to industry sources. While lead actor Kartik Aaryan had finished his segments earlier, director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba focused on wrapping up the remaining scenes with other cast members in Mumbai. The atmosphere on set was a mix of celebration and bittersweet emotions as the crew acknowledged the conclusion of their collective efforts.

Focus Shifts to Post-Production

With principal photography now finished, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba will turn his attention to post-production activities. The director is expected to enhance the film’s visual effects and overall presentation, aiming to deliver an engaging cinematic experience for audiences. The film, which is a blend of fantasy and comedy, has garnered considerable attention leading up to its release.

About Naagzilla

Produced by Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films, Naagzilla is anticipated to showcase Kartik Aaryan in the role of a shape-shifting naag. The cast also includes Ravi Kishan, who is set to portray the film’s antagonist. The film marks the Bollywood debut of actress Preity Mukhundhan, known for her performances in South Indian cinema.

Release Date and Collaborations

Naagzilla is slated for theatrical release on Independence Day in 2026. This film represents the first collaboration between Kartik Aaryan and Mahaveer Jain, as well as a partnership with Karan Johar, following their previous work together in Tu Meri Main Tera (2025).

Following the completion of Naagzilla, there are reports suggesting that Kartik Aaryan will soon begin filming for a new project directed by Kabir Khan. This untitled sports drama is inspired by the story of Kashmiri kickboxing sensation Tajamul Islam and will mark a reunion for Aaryan and Khan after their successful film Chandu Champion (2024).
