The recent meeting between India, France, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) focused on their trilateral cooperation during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The gathering aimed to assess advancements in areas such as space, artificial intelligence, culture and heritage.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar led the Indian delegation, while French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot represented France. The Emirati delegation was headed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister. Upon conclusion of the meeting, the ministers expressed their commitment to enhancing collaboration in various fields.

Jaishankar noted the extensive discussion on cooperation in health sciences and energy, indicating the potential offered by the complementary capabilities of the three nations. He highlighted the need for ongoing dialogue and expressed eagerness for future meetings to advance the discussions further.

Progress in Key Sectors and Future Initiatives

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the ministers took stock of the progress made in their agreed-upon areas of collaboration. Special attention was given to the domains of space, artificial intelligence, and cultural heritage, which have become crucial focal points for diplomatic relations among the nations.

In addition to evaluating existing cooperation, the ministers exchanged views regarding the political landscape in West Asia. Their discussions aimed to identify avenues for strengthening relationships further across shared interests and responsibilities in the region.
