Gruesome Discovery in Noida: Headless Woman’s Body Found in Sector 108 Drain

The CSR Journal Magazine

Noida witnessed a chilling discovery on Thursday when the headless and handless body of a woman was found floating in a drain in Sector 108, one of the city’s upscale residential areas. The incident has triggered panic among locals and prompted a massive police investigation.

According to officials, the body was spotted around noon by a passerby, who immediately alerted the authorities through the police helpline. The caller reported that the body was floating in an eight-foot-deep drain located near a high-rise building and a public park along the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway.

Soon after receiving the information, a police team from Sector 39 Police Station arrived at the scene and recovered the mutilated body. Forensic experts were called to collect evidence, while the area was sealed off to prevent contamination of the crime scene.

In an official statement, the police said, “Today on 06.11.2025, information was received about the body of an unidentified woman being found in a drain near Sector-82 Noida cut. Acting immediately on the information received, the local police reached the spot and the body was taken out of the drain.”

Woman’s Body Found With No Hands and Legs

Police said the woman’s head and palms had been severed, making identification extremely difficult. Investigators suspect that the victim was killed elsewhere and that her body was dumped in the drain to conceal her identity. The body was sent for post-mortem examination to determine the cause and time of death.

Preliminary findings suggest that the woman might have been murdered within the last 24 to 48 hours. Officers said no documents, clothing, or other items were found at the scene that could help establish her identity.

“We have extensively checked the nearby area, but nothing associated with the body has been found,” said Jitendra Kumar Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) of Sector 39 Police Station. He added that three separate police teams have been formed to identify the woman and trace those involved in the crime.

Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Addl DCP) Sumit Shukla said, “The body was sent for post-mortem, and further investigation is underway to identify the woman and trace the suspects as soon as possible.”

CCTV Examination Ongoing

Police are now examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to track any suspicious movement and to determine when the body was brought to the location. Officers believe the culprits may have dumped it during the night when traffic was sparse.

The gruesome nature of the murder has created a sense of fear among residents of Sector 108. Local police have increased patrolling and urged people to report any missing women or suspicious activity that might help in the investigation.

Officials said that given the brutality and the attempt to mutilate the victim, the crime appears to have been committed with the intent to destroy evidence and mask the victim’s identity.

An officer involved in the investigation confirmed that a special team has been constituted to pursue all leads. “All possible angles are being explored, and efforts are on to bring the culprits to justice at the earliest,” the officer said.
