Gautam Gulati has emerged as the latest Ultimate Ruler in Season 2 of Rise & Fall after triumphing in a hockey challenge that evaluated strategy, timing, and decision-making. He faced off against Manish Goel and Rishabh Jaiswal in the decisive round of the competition. The contest commenced with intense negotiations in the Red Room before transitioning to the hockey challenge, where a series of goalpost and score swaps altered the standings considerably.

Gautam made a pivotal move just before the final buzzer, securing his victory and subsequently renaming the Tower to Gautam City. The race for the title began with Jashwanth and Manish entering the Red Room, where they were instructed by the Lift to rely on intelligence rather than physical prowess.

During the discussions, Manish and Jashwanth agreed that Rishabh should compete against Niharika Tiwari. Following this, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Gautam had to choose between Manish and Jashwanth, ultimately deciding to eliminate Jashwanth from the competition. This decision led to a confrontation between Jashwanth and Priyanka regarding their prior understanding.

Controversial Eliminations and Finalists Emerge

Meanwhile, Rishabh opted not to support Gautam’s elimination, despite Niharika advocating for his removal. After further negotiations, Rishabh and Niharika reached a consensus that resulted in Priyanka’s elimination. Consequently, Gautam, Manish, and Rishabh advanced as the final three contenders in the competition.

The final challenge featured a hockey match, with each selected Worker costing Rs 1 lakh from the prize pool. Gautam chose Irina Rudakova, Manish selected Shehzad Poonawalla, and Rishabh opted for Karan. Swara Bhasker was responsible for keeping score during the match.

Contestants were tasked with defending their goalposts while attempting to score against their rivals. The two players who conceded the most goals would be eliminated. A buzzer introduced an additional twist by allowing the Rulers to swap their goalposts and scores, with each contestant required to complete two swaps throughout the match.

Gautam’s Strategic Moves Lead to Victory

Gautam and Irina initially took a commanding lead; however, Manish altered the scoreboard with his first swap. Shehzad later sustained an injury, prompting Sara Gurpal to take his place, while Jashwanth assumed the role of scorekeeper. Gautam’s initial swap did not significantly impact the competition, as the scores remained tied.

He then exchanged places with Manish, followed by Rishabh, who briefly moved ahead after swapping with Manish. With time dwindling, Gautam executed his final swap, exchanging positions with Rishabh just before the buzzer sounded. This strategic move ultimately changed the outcome, allowing Gautam to secure victory with Irina’s assistance.

Upon being crowned the new Ultimate Ruler, Gautam announced the renaming of the Tower to Gautam City. This declaration elicited mixed reactions from the other contestants, with Niharika expressing particular disappointment towards Rishabh. She felt that her sacrifices had been in vain after he failed to seize the opportunity to win the crown.
