The CSR Journal Magazine

A significant fire broke out at a chemicals factory located in the Sachin GIDC area of Surat on Wednesday. Local authorities mobilized over ten fire engines to the site to manage and contain the blaze. Emergency response teams are currently engaged in firefighting efforts, and further details regarding the incident are pending.

Previous Fire Incident in Surat

This recent occurrence follows another fire incident that took place at the Millennium-1 textile market on Sunday. Reports indicate that the fire was effectively controlled with the assistance of approximately 15 fire engines that responded to the emergency. Fire officials confirmed that at the textile market, located near Kamela Darwaja, five to seven shops, including a godown, were destroyed. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported from this incident as well.

Fire Chief’s Statement

Chief Fire Officer Basant Parikh provided insights into both incidents. He mentioned that responders swiftly arrived at the Kamela Darwaja hub to extinguish the flames. The recent fire was controlled without any harm to individuals in the vicinity. Parikh also commented on the fire that occurred at Millennium Market near Sahara Darwaja, noting that 18 fire engines were deployed to tackle the situation. He reported seeing smoke rising from the area and indicated that witnesses suggested a blast in an air conditioning unit may have triggered the fire.
