India has successfully completed four out of seven phases of the Lok Sabha election so far, with the remaining phases scheduled for May 20, May 25, and June 1. Swiggy Dineout’s Discount offer for Voters
On polling day, May 20, Mumbaikars can enjoy up to a 50 percent discount on their dine-in bill at popular restaurants by simply displaying the mark of indelible ink on their finger, signifying that they have cast their vote. Participating restaurants include Lucy Lou, Saffron and Soy, Sante Spa Cuisine, Fountain Sizzlers, Ocean Kitchen Fine Dine, Kokum, Bharat Excellensea, The Yellow Chilli by Sanjeev Kapoor, and Fisherman’s Cove – Taste on Palate.
Commenting on the initiative, Swapnil Bajpai, head of Swiggy Dineout, said, “Voting is not just a right; it is a privilege and a responsibility. Swiggy Dineout has joined hands with the city’s top restaurants to foster active citizenship, urging Mumbaikars to turn out in large numbers and vote.”
Democracy Discount by National Restaurant Association of India
The Mumbai Chapter of the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) has launched a special ‘Democracy Discount’ campaign, providing a 20% discount on total dine-in bills at more than 108 top eateries across Mumbai on May 20 and 21 for voters. This initiative aims to promote civic engagement while adding an enjoyable culinary element to the voting experience.
“The initiative is our hospitality fraternity’s way of encouraging citizens to go out and cast their votes. Mumbai has always had such a great sense of community, and I am thrilled that we have so many fabulous brands on board as part of the NRAI Mumbai Chapter,” said Rachel Goenka, NRAI Mumbai Chapter Head.
