Delhi Delivery Horror: Businessman Assaulted, Beaten to Death by Delivery Agents

A 36-year-old businessman lost his life after he was allegedly assaulted by three food delivery personnel in Central Delhi’s Connaught Place area. The incident took place on the night of 3 January but came to public attention only recently. The man had reportedly gone to attend a party in the area when the altercation occurred.

Victim Attacked with Helmet, Sustains Fatal Injuries

The businessman was allegedly confronted by three food delivery agents during a dispute, the cause of which is under investigation. During the incident, the assailants are accused of repeatedly striking the victim with a helmet, leading to severe injuries. He was rushed to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police Investigate, Two Accused Arrested

After gaining knowledge of the case, the Delhi Police launched an investigation into the matter and have since arrested two of the three accused individuals. Efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the third suspect. Authorities are examining CCTV footage from the area and questioning witnesses to establish the sequence of events.

Connaught Place, a central commercial hub and frequent gathering spot in New Delhi, typically sees heavy police presence, especially during nighttime hours. Despite this, a violent act of this nature has raised concerns about public safety in urban centres.
