The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Health Department, in collaboration with the Food Safety Department, has reportedly seized approximately 70 quintals of paneer thought to be adulterated. The operation took place across various locations in Cuttack, Odisha, amid an increase in festive demand for dairy products. The raids were part of a proactive approach to ensure food safety during the busy festival period.

Officials suspect that large quantities of potentially adulterated paneer were brought into the city to meet escalating consumer demand linked to local festivities. Following the seizure, samples of the paneer were collected and dispatched to a laboratory for thorough testing. The entire stock was subsequently disposed of at the Sati Chaura dumping yard, ensuring that unsafe products could not enter the market.
