New Delhi, August 25: The BRICS CCI Youth Leadership Dialogue 3.0 concluded in New Delhi after bringing together young delegates, policymakers, diplomats, defence experts, entrepreneurs, business leaders and public figures for a seven-day programme.

Organised by the BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BRICS CCI) from August 6 to 12, 2026, the initiative focused on leadership, governance, entrepreneurship, technology, international affairs and nation-building.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Highlights Role of Youth

The concluding ceremony was attended by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, as the Chief Guest. Addressing participants, Shekhawat highlighted the crucial role of young Indians in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

He said platforms such as the Youth Leadership Dialogue provide young people with opportunities to engage with experienced leaders and contribute meaningfully to the country’s development.

MP Shashank Mani Tripathi Calls for Youth Leadership

Shashank Mani Tripathi, Member of Parliament, attended the ceremony as Guest of Honor. He spoke about public leadership and rural entrepreneurship, encouraging young people to take initiative, create opportunities and contribute to the development of their communities.

His address emphasised the importance of youth participation in addressing challenges at both local and national levels.

Leadership Across Multiple Sectors

The programme was led by Sameep Shastri, Chairman of BRICS CCI and President of its Young Leaders Vertical. He said the initiative was designed to help young people prepare for the future while also empowering them to actively shape it.

Senior BRICS CCI leadership, including Dr. BBL Madhukar, Atul Banshal, Prann Sharma and Shabana Nasim, also participated in the initiative.

Discussions explored different dimensions of leadership, including governance, diplomacy, corporate leadership and digital innovation. Participants gained practical perspectives through direct interactions with experienced professionals and policymakers.

Educational and Cultural Engagements

The dialogue also included educational visits to the Delhi Legislative Assembly and the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya. These engagements gave participants an opportunity to learn more about India’s democratic institutions, political history and leadership traditions.

Cultural exchanges with Russian counterparts were another important component of the programme, helping promote greater cross-border understanding and people-to-people connections.

Youth and AI Policy Lab Booklet Unveiled

One of the key highlights of the concluding ceremony was the unveiling of the BRICS CCI Youth & AI Policy Lab – Case Study Booklet. The publication brings together insights and ideas developed during the initiative, particularly around youth leadership and emerging technologies.

The programme featured speakers and experts from sectors including finance, technology and education. Among those who participated were Dr. Payal Kanodia, Ekaterina Lazareva of the Russian Embassy and Sonal Goel, Secretary of the Government of Tripura.

Recognising Young Participants

Participants received globally recognised merit certificates in recognition of their involvement and contributions throughout the programme.

The recognition marked the culmination of a dialogue designed to provide young people with exposure to leadership, policymaking, entrepreneurship, diplomacy and technological innovation.

Building Youth Networks for Viksit Bharat 2047

The BRICS CCI Youth Leadership Dialogue 3.0 sought to create a platform where young leaders could interact with policymakers, diplomats and professionals from diverse fields.

By combining leadership discussions, educational visits, cultural exchanges and exposure to emerging technologies, the initiative aimed to equip participants with knowledge, experience and networks that can support their future contributions.

The programme ultimately reinforced the message that India’s youth will have a central role in shaping the country’s development trajectory and advancing the long-term vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
