BJP Telangana spokesperson NV Subhash has raised concerns about Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent statements regarding Lord Rama and Lord Shiva, claiming that Reddy is trying to distract the public from pressing government issues. He referred to Reddy as a “perpetual, controversial candidate,” suggesting that the Chief Minister has not delivered on developmental promises in Telangana over the past 30 months.

Subhash alleged that the Chief Minister is using religious and caste-related topics to divert attention from the government’s failures. He remarked that Reddy’s comments about the BJP and Prime Minister Modi invoking Lord Rama while neglecting Lord Shiva are aimed at dividing communities along religious lines.

“The BJP Telangana strongly condemns these controversial statements, which could lead to unnecessary unrest,” Subhash stated, highlighting the potential implications of Reddy’s remarks on communal harmony in the state.

Concerns Raised About Government’s Economic Development

Subhash specifically questioned the Telangana government’s commitment to Bhadrachalam, which he referred to as “Dakshina Ayodhya.” He alleged that funds vital for development in that area have not been disbursed. “What has Revanth Reddy done for Bhadrachalam, where the Ram temple has existed for centuries? The promised funds have not materialised,” he asserted.

Additionally, BJP spokesperson Prakash Reddy echoed Subhash’s sentiments, criticising Reddy’s remarks for showing a lack of awareness about the cultural and geographical diversity of India. Prakash stated that the Chief Minister’s comments were unfortunate, highlighting that Ram is typically regarded as a Northern deity while Shiva is worshipped in the south.

He stressed the importance of understanding India’s multidimensional heritage, questioning Reddy’s knowledge of various religious sites, such as Mount Kailash and Kedarnath. Prakash implied that Reddy’s beliefs reflect a misguided philosophy, potentially damaging India’s unity and integrity.

BRS Questions Reddy’s Performance Ahead of Visit to Sircilla

As Chief Minister Revanth Reddy prepares for a visit to Sircilla on September 30, BRS spokesperson Ravula Sridhar Reddy has called on Reddy to address his government’s performance and the unfulfilled promises made during the last elections. Sircilla is known as a hub of the textile industry, and Sridhar Reddy pressed the Chief Minister to clarify pending issues regarding land in the region.

“Sircilla is a critical area for the textile sector, and people deserve answers regarding land allegations noted in the Assembly,” he remarked. The BRS has demanded specific details concerning Reddy’s claims that thousands of acres of land were acquired by BRS leaders in the area.

This land issue has become a point of contention between the Congress government and the BRS. The continuing debate over land transactions and the alleged appropriation of government property has heightened tensions between the parties involved.

Reddy’s upcoming visit to Sircilla is part of a broader outreach initiative aimed at addressing constituents’ concerns and potentially countering criticisms from opposition parties about his governance.
