The meeting aimed to enhance the quality of education in government schools across the state. Chaudhary instructed officials to upgrade academic environments and modern facilities, ensuring students receive quality teaching that prepares them for future challenges.

During the session, Rajiv Roshan, Secretary of the Education Department, presented a comprehensive overview of the academic frameworks and facilities available within the state’s model schools, known as Saraswati Vidya Niketan. He elaborated on the initiatives that have been undertaken to improve learning outcomes and the infrastructure of these institutions.

Tyagarajan SM, Chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board, provided insights into the state’s e-learning initiatives. He discussed a 24×7 interactive digital learning platform designed to support students in their educational pursuits. The Chief Minister underscored the need for effective management of model schools, aiming for distinctive operations that distinguish them from regular educational institutions.

Focus on Holistic Student Development

The Chief Minister articulated the importance of a comprehensive approach to education. He stressed that the quality of schools should not be judged solely by their physical infrastructure but rather by the efficacy of their teaching methods and the overall developmental progress of students. To foster this, Chaudhary emphasized regular parent-teacher meetings every three months to facilitate ongoing dialogue about student performance and needs.

In addition to enhancing classroom dynamics, the Chief Minister called for increased involvement from alumni of model schools. He directed the establishment of a system for periodic meetings and mentorship, aiming to draw on the experiences of former students to benefit the current student body.

Chaudhary particularly noted the importance of providing talented students in Bihar with robust academic resources and guidance for competitive examinations, such as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). He stressed the necessity of ensuring that students from government institutions have equal opportunities to prepare for these prestigious tests.

Implementation of Digital Learning and Monitoring Systems

The Chief Minister insisted on the effective utilisation of the e-learning and interactive digital platform established by the Bihar School Examination Board. He stated that quality study materials, expert guidance, and modern teaching resources must be seamlessly integrated to improve the learning experience for students.

Chaudhary reiterated the importance of directing all educational initiatives to tangibly benefit students. He expressed the commitment of the state government to ensure that no resources are lacking, creating a more conducive educational environment. Preparing students for future challenges through quality education and technological advancements remains the central goal of the government’s educational policies.

Attendees at the meeting included Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, along with other senior officials from the Education Department. The collaborative efforts outlined in this meeting signal a significant step towards improving educational standards in Bihar. The focus now lies on practical implementation and monitoring to achieve the envisaged outcomes in the state’s educational landscape.
