A staff member of actor Ameesha Patel has been apprehended in connection with the suspected theft of jewellery valued at approximately Rs 5 lakh from her family residence in Mumbai. The incident reportedly took place at Patel’s home located in Churchgate, where her mother, Asha Patel, filed a complaint with the local police after discovering that several high-value items, including a diamond-studded gold bangle, had gone missing.

The police swiftly initiated an investigation following the complaint, focusing on the staff member who had access to the residence. As a result of their inquiries, authorities confirmed the arrest of the suspect, who is currently in custody while investigations continue. The police have not disclosed the identity of the arrested individual as they continue to gather evidence and assess the full circumstances surrounding the case.

Ameesha Patel’s manager verified the arrest exclusively to India Today, stating, “Yes, it’s true. They caught the staff member, who is now in jail.” This statement has been the only confirmation from her team regarding the incident. So far, neither Ameesha Patel nor any family member has publicly commented on the matter. The investigation is ongoing, and more details may emerge as the police progress with their enquiries.
