The CSR Journal Magazine

Actress Priyamani has officially become a part of the cast for Golmaal 5, the forthcoming edition of director Rohit Shetty’s renowned comedy series. This development marks a reunion between Priyamani and actor Ajay Devgn, who previously collaborated in the film Maidaan.

The initial shooting schedule for Golmaal 5 is anticipated to last around a month with the filming kicking off on February 23 in Mumbai. Ajay Devgn is scheduled to join the film’s set on February 25. While specific details regarding Priyamani’s role remain undisclosed, early reports indicate that she has commenced shooting her scenes.

Continuing the Legacy of the Golmaal Franchise

The Golmaal series stands out as one of the most successful comedy franchises in Hindi cinema, celebrated for its ensemble cast and engaging storytelling. The fifth installment will feature the return of key figures from the previous films, including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, and Shreyas Talpade. Additionally, notable veterans such as Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari, and Ashwini Kalsekar are expected to reprise their beloved roles.

There have also been rumors about Akshay Kumar potentially joining the cast, although the filmmakers have yet to confirm these developments officially.

Concerns Amidst Ongoing Filming

Filming for Golmaal 5 has commenced in the backdrop of a troubling incident at Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu, where five bullets were reportedly fired. Investigations by the Mumbai Crime Branch revealed that the vehicle used in that incident was traced back to Pune.

Officials noted that the accused, including a suspect named Subham Lonkar, allegedly aimed to instigate fear in the area. Authorities further disclosed that Rs 40,000 was transferred to one of the arrested individuals, who had been in contact with Lonkar through a messaging app.
