Prime Minister Narendra Modi has acknowledged the commendable accomplishments of Indian athletes at the Asian Games held in Aichi-Nagoya on October 3, 2026. Prime Minister Modi hailed this achievement, recognising Sehrawat’s determined journey from winning bronze at the previous edition to standing atop the podium this time around.

In his appreciation, PM Modi wrote, “What a phenomenal triumph for Aman Sehrawat! He has scripted history by winning India’s first-ever Asian Games Gold in the Men’s 57kg Freestyle Wrestling event.” His commendation served as a motivation for young athletes aspiring to excel in the sport.
