A man was arrested in Indore after allegedly assaulting a food delivery executive following an argument over an order that he claimed had arrived cold, police said. The incident occurred in the Ranibagh area after the delivery worker arrived at the accused’s residence with the order.

Police said the accused was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when the dispute began. The argument over the temperature of the food escalated, with the man allegedly assaulting the delivery worker.

Dispute Over Food Order Escalates

According to police, the accused had placed the food order online and was waiting at his residence in Ranibagh when the delivery executive arrived.

An argument reportedly broke out after the man complained that the food had arrived cold. Police said the accused, who was allegedly intoxicated, continued arguing with the delivery worker before the dispute turned physical.

The delivery executive subsequently approached Bhanwarkuan police station and filed a complaint against the man.

Police Arrest Accused After Complaint

Acting on the complaint, police summoned the accused for questioning and subsequently arrested him. Officials said legal proceedings have been initiated, including preventive action against him.

Police are also examining whether the accused has previously been involved in similar incidents. During the investigation, some delivery personnel reportedly told officials that he had allegedly had disputes with delivery workers in the past, including over food-related issues.

Police are gathering details of any previous complaints or incidents linked to the accused as part of the ongoing investigation.

Further Investigation Underway

The accused remains in custody as police continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault.

Officials are also examining the accounts provided by delivery personnel and other available information to determine whether there is any record of earlier disputes involving the accused.

Further action will depend on the findings of the investigation, police said.
