Ayush Shetty, HS Prannoy Secure Wins as India Finishes Second in Group Stage

Ayush Shetty emerged as a standout performer in India’s concluding group-stage match of the Thomas Cup on Wednesday, April 29. Competing against China’s Weng Hong Yang, ranked World No. 15, Shetty secured a comeback victory that showcased his extraordinary talent. His match lasted one hour and ten minutes, culminating in scores of 17-21, 21-13, 21-15, which not only highlighted his resilience but also reinvigorated hopes for the Indian team after earlier setbacks.

Entering the court when India faced a daunting 3-0 deficit, Shetty managed to turn the tide in a match that initially seemed to defy him.
