3-year-old Dies After Being Slapped & Assaulted By Teachers in Prayagraj, FIR Lodged

A very tragic incident unfolded at a school in Yamuna Nagar on Friday. A three-year-old nursery kid lost his life under suspicious circumstances. The incident has raised serious concerns as the body of the boy was found in school. The boy was rushed to the hospital, however, he was declared dead upon arrival. Following this, the family of the boy and the locals prompted the police.

Upon receiving the information the Police launched an investigation into the alleged matter. The Prayagraj Police are also probing allegations that the child may have been physically assaulted by two teachers in the school.

Statement of the police

According to Vivek Chandra Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Yamuna Nagar), the school administration initially informed the boy’s family that he had fallen unconscious during school hours. He further informed that the child was immediately taken to a hospital by school staff along with his family members.

However, due to his critical condition, he was referred to another medical hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival. Additional CP (Law & Order) Ajay Pal said, “We are scanning the CCTV footage and legal action will be initiated accordingly. A detailed probe will reveal the exact sequence of events.”

FIR Filed Against Two Teachers

The family of the deceased child filed a formal complaint at Naini police station. The family of the boy alleged that the boy had been physically assaulted by two teachers in the school. Based on the complaint of the family, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered. The Police have also launched an investigation into the incident.

An official at Naini police said, “We have recorded the statements of the family members and school staff regarding the incident.”

Postmortem Suggests Possible Sexual Assault

Further probe into the matter revealed horrifying details. The child’s body was sent to SRN Hospital for post-mortem examination after the family gave their consent. However the report revealed several injuries on the body of the child. This includes injury marks near the eye, on the tongue, and in the region of the child’s private parts.

The findings from the post-mortem examination have prompted authorities to consider the possibility of sexual abuse. DCP Yadav noted that although the family has not mentioned sexual assault in their complaint, the nature of the injuries cannot rule out that possibility. “Police are investigating the case from all angles,” he stated.

CCTV Footage Under Review

Investigators are currently examining CCTV footage from the school to gather more evidence. Authorities emphasized that no definitive conclusions will be made until the investigation is complete.

“Police are investigating the case from all angles,” he said. “The school’s CCTV footage is being examined. The postmortem revealed injuries near the boy’s eye, on his tongue, and one near his private parts”, Mr Yadav said. “We will be able to make a clear statement only after the investigation is complete,” the officer added.

The gruesome case has shocked the local community and sparked widespread calls for a thorough and transparent investigation into the death of the innocent child.
