Trump’s Death Stare to Reporter after she Pushes Mic into his Face, Video Viral

An unusual incident captured on camera has gone viral on social media. The video is of a press briefing at Joint Base Andrews on Friday. U.S. President Donald Trump had an amusing moment with an overzealous reporter.
Trump was answering questions about the ongoing Gaza situation. However he was unintentionally smacked in the face by a boom microphone, triggering a death stare and an eyebrow raise. The microphone, covered in fuzzy synthetic fur known as a “dead cat,” had been thrust too close to his face during the exchange.

Trump’s Witty Response

Caught off guard in the moment, Trump leaned back, closed his eyes, and then shot the reporter a disapproving glare. He then said, “She made television tonight, she just became a big story tonight.” Soon he turned back to someone off-camera, laughed and asked, “Did you see that?”

Viral Reactions

Following the incident, the video quickly went viral on social media. The netizens and social media users began sharing memes and reactions on the video. Trump’s disapproving facial expression and his quick-witted comment became the subject of widespread online humor. Meanwhile, some users even pointed out the possibility of dangerous substances, such as fentanyl, on the microphone, sparking conspiracy theories about the incident.
One such user wrote, “The press pool is a huge security risk to Trump and his team. Today’s Mic incident was intentional; the mic could have been coated with deadly poison!”
Another wrote, “One of the most asinine things you could do in the world is purposely hitting the President of the United States in the face with a boom mic. Did she even apologize?”
The incident also sparked concerns about safety and security of leaders. Joining the fray, political activist Laura Loomer expressed her dismay on social media. She questioned how the boom mic had been positioned so close to the President’s face. She further called for tighter security measures around the President’s press briefings.
