In a chilling case of premeditated murder, the Karimnagar Rural Police have arrested a woman, her lover, and his friend for killing her husband. The group used a method reportedly learned from a YouTube video. The victim, 45-year-old Ailaveni Sampath, a library sweeper from Subashnagar. He was murdered by pouring pesticide into his ear while in an intoxicated state.

According to the police, Sampath was a habitual drinker and often fought with his wife, Ramadevi, physically abusing her. Ramadevi, who sold snacks to support their two children. She met 50-year-old Karre Rajayya of Kisannagar through her business. Their relationship soon turned into an extramarital affair.

YouTube Search Leads to Deadly Plan

Meanwhile the investigators revealed that Ramadevi, seeking to eliminate her abusive husband, researched ways to kill him. During this period she came across a YouTube video suggesting that pouring pesticide into a person’s ear could be fatal. She shared this method with her lover Rajayya. Both agreed to execute the plan with help from his friend Keesari Srinivas of Khadergudem.

Furthermore, on the night of July 29, Rajayya and Srinivas invited Sampath to drink with them near the Bommakal flyover. Once Sampath was intoxicated and passed out, Rajayya allegedly poured pesticide into his ear, resulting in instant death. The two then fled the scene.

Murder Covered Up as Disappearance

To mislead investigators, Ramadevi filed a missing person complaint the next day and pretended to be a worried wife. However, suspicions arose when she and Rajayya requested that no post-mortem be performed after Sampath’s body was found on 1 August.

The police, alerted by the victim’s son’s suspicions, examined call records, mobile locations, and CCTV footage. These pointed to the involvement of Ramadevi and her accomplices. Under interrogation, all three suspects confessed. They were arrested and produced before court. Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam confirmed their judicial custody and presented them to the media.

In a similar incident a few days ago, a 29-year-old man, Yousuf Khan, was allegedly murdered by his wife Tabassum and her lover Danish in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh. Police revealed that the accused tied his hands, fatally stabbed him in the stomach. As if murder weren’t enough the accused wife poured acid on the victim’s body, and later set it on fire. His body was dumped near an abandoned brick kiln in Kasganj district.
