A distressing incident has emerged from Hanamkonda, Telangana, where a man identified as Azharuddin allegedly killed his pregnant wife and two daughters. According to local authorities, the alleged crime involved throwing his family into a swimming pool. Initial reports suggest that Azharuddin was reportedly unhappy upon discovering that the unborn child was female.

Authorities disclosed that Azharuddin had previously attempted to terminate the pregnancy. However, his wife opposed this decision, which led him to plan the alleged tragic act. The police have commenced investigations, registering a case and launching a manhunt for the suspect.

According to an official from the Hanamkonda police, Azharuddin had entered into a love marriage with his wife and they had two daughters together. The alleged motive was linked to his desire for a male child. Upon realising the gender of the unborn baby, he made the decision, reportedly out of despair, to take drastic actions against his family.

Ongoing Investigation and Search for the Accused

Following the incident, police special teams have been mobilised to locate Azharuddin. This incident has prompted discussions within local communities about the societal pressures that accompany gender expectations in families. The police have urged individuals to seek help and report any signs of domestic distress, emphasising that counselling services are available to those in need.
