PV Sindhu, Harmanpreet Kaur Set for Ultrahuman HYROX Event in Bengaluru

Bengaluru will host the Ultrahuman HYROX event on April 11 and 12, 2026, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). This marks the first two-day HYROX occurrence in India, where over 8,200 participants have already registered. The event signifies a major milestone as Bengaluru becomes the third Indian city to host this global fitness competition, following Mumbai and Delhi since HYROX’s introduction to the country in 2025.

Format and Challenges of the Race

The Ultrahuman HYROX race adheres to a standardized international format combining endurance running with a series of functional workouts. Participants will complete eight 1-kilometer runs complemented by eight unique fitness exercises, which include SkiErg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, Rowing, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Lunges, and Wall Balls. This structure is designed to test the limits of athletes across various fitness levels.

Insights from Organizers

Mohit Kumar, CEO of Ultrahuman, expressed excitement about supporting the HYROX community in their pursuits. He highlighted the importance of understanding one’s body, from sleep patterns to recovery, to enhance health and performance. Meanwhile, Deepak Raj, Country Head of HYROX India, emphasized Bengaluru’s strong fitness community. He noted that the two-day format would create a more immersive experience for participants, wishing them all the best in their endeavors.

Partnership with PUMA

PUMA is the official apparel and footwear partner for all HYROX races globally. According to a multi-year agreement, PUMA is collaborating with the HYROX team to develop a specialized range of clothing and footwear tailored for Indian athletes. At the Bengaluru event, attendees will have the opportunity to see PUMA athletes and ambassadors, including Harmanpreet Kaur and PV Sindhu, engage in the activities while promoting the new season’s HYROX collection.

Marketing Perspectives

Shreya Sachdev, Head of Marketing at PUMA India, remarked on the brand’s commitment to advancing sports culture in India. She recognized the rising popularity of participative sports and expressed that HYROX provides a new avenue for fitness enthusiasts. Sachdev believes that their partnership with HYROX is essential for enhancing participant experiences and attracting new audiences to the sport. The collaboration aims to showcase both sporting figures in order to further popularize HYROX.

Event Accessibility and Livestreaming

Both days of the event will be accessible to spectators, starting from 6:30 AM. Tickets can be purchased online or at the venue, offering an engaging atmosphere. Additionally, the highly anticipated Battle of the Gyms will be livestreamed on the HYROX India YouTube channel on Sunday at 4:50 PM. This competition will feature 26 gyms from across the nation, showcasing various fitness communities competing in challenges that test their strength and endurance.
