Rodri, the winner of the 2024 Ballon d’Or, finished in fourth place, while Lionel Messi, who has won the award a record eight times, followed in fifth.

In his message, Kohli said, “Harry, my friend, you deserve every bit of this award for your resilience, hard work and honesty with which you’ve carried yourself through all these years playing football at the top. Really happy for you. God bless you and your family. They must all be very proud of you, as you would be of your own journey. My best wishes always. Congratulations.”

Kane’s Remarkable Season

The Ballon d’Or win capped a remarkable season for Kane, who played for Bayern Munich during the 2025-26 campaign. He scored an impressive 73 goals in 65 appearances for both club and country, with 61 of those goals coming in 51 matches for Bayern. This performance not only solidified his position as a top striker but also showcased his ability to perform consistently at the highest level.

Kane’s contributions were pivotal in helping England secure third place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He scored 36 goals in the Bundesliga, leading Bayern to clinch the title with a significant 16-point margin over Borussia Dortmund. Additionally, Kane played a crucial role in the team’s success in domestic competitions, helping Bayern win the DFB-Pokal and the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup, thereby completing a domestic treble.

In the UEFA Champions League, Kane added another 14 goals in 13 appearances. However, Bayern’s journey in the tournament ended in the semifinals, where they were defeated by the eventual champions, Paris Saint-Germain. This season has been a testament to Kane’s exceptional skills and his capacity to influence games at both the club and international levels.
