The decomposed body of Pakistani actress-model Humaira Asghar Ali was found in her apartment in Karachi a few days ago. Today, a voice message she sent sometime before her death is going viral on social media platforms. The message was sent to one of her close friends, Dureshehwar.
In the voice note, she is heard telling Dureshehwar, “I am so sorry, I was travelling, caught up here and there. I’m so happy tum Makkah mein ho. Mere liye bohot saari, please… apni cutie si dost/ behen ke liye bohot saari dil se dua karna. For my career, dua mein zarur yaad rakhna. Mere liye bohot saari tumhe dua karni hai.” According to records, this message was sent in September 2023.
Karachi-based police surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed confirmed that following the post-mortem, it came to light that although the body was recovered recently, Humaira likely died almost nine months ago, sometime in October 2024. “Her body was in an advanced stage of decomposition when it arrived here,” Dr. Syed shared.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Syed Asad Raza, stated that her call records show the last call was made in October 2024. Neighbours also mentioned she was last seen in September or October that year.
The unusual smell went unnoticed, as the only other flat on her floor was unoccupied and remains vacant to this day, police shared. Further details reveal that the electricity to her flat was disconnected in October due to non-payment of bills. “Humaira’s body is likely nine months old. She probably died between paying her last utility bills and when her electricity was disconnected in October 2024,” an official stated.
Humaira was very popular on social media, with a fan base of 713,000 followers. She was best known for her appearance on ARY’s reality show Tamasha Ghar and the film Jalaibee.
