Israeli gunfire and airstrikes have killed at least 41 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, according to the local health authorities. Amongst these, five were killed near to eight sites operated by the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). According to the medical officers at Al-Awda Hospital in the central Gaza Strip, airstrikes have killed at least three people, while dozens of others were wounded by Israeli fire while they were trying to approach the GHF site near the Netzarim corridor. Two others were killed on their way to another aid site in Rafah in the south.

Seven other people were killed in Beit Lahiya town in the north of the enclave. While in the Nuseirat camp situated in the central Gaza Strip, medics confirmed that an Israeli airstrike killed at least 11 people in a house. The others were killed in a separate airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip.

Killed Before Aid Could Reach

Many Palestinians have been killed daily in mass shootings while trying to reach for food. The GHF also said that it resumed food deliveries on Sunday. The humanitarian foundation is distributing more than 2 million meals from its three distribution sites without any incident.

The Gaza Health Ministry also reported that at least 300 people have been killed so far, while more than 2,600 have been wounded near a distribution site since the GHF began its operations.
